Overheard at the barbershop

Customer #1: (Quoting from a newspaper headline) "Why hockey is better than golf..."

Customer #2: "Why is hockey better than golf?"

Customer #3: "Isn't everything?"

(psst, I was customer number 3)

Oh, no, don't get me wrong. I am an avid golfer. Nevertheless...

I see your point.  Just about everything is better than golf, yet golf is an addiction, of sorts.  It's a perverse and self-destructive quest to be better.  In the end, however, you're just a person with a club who's smacking around a little ball.  You could have a great game one day, then, the next day, a little wind or drizzle pops up, and you're back to swinging a massive club of suck.  It's maddening, and that's why they don't sell razor-blades in the club house.

By the way, Paul, what's with this constant bandwidth error I'm getting with the pictures on your site?

Have you been posting pictures to Fark, young man?

Bush is clearly not better than golf.

Very true Emily, but golf-clubs + Bush could make for hours of fun.

Capital 'B' on that or lowercase 'b' on bush... I think it makes the fun quotient go up with lower case!  LOL

Anyhow, I have never played a golf game.  Only chip n putt and driving balls for fun with Hubby when he needs to practice... so, I don't quite understand the madness.  lol

be well,
