I have been challenged. Oops, wait, no I haven't.

The entry I posted earlier today has generated some interesting comments. Three from one person, in fact. I got a bit of a chuckle out of two of them, so I thought I'd share it. First, the person posted this comment (slightly edited for clarity).
Since you are so down on paranormal studies/people and psychics, I CHALLENGE YOU to have a reading by PHONE by the person you attacked on CarnivalAOL and indirectly here...and then post your OPINION!
That comment was rapidly followed up with this one.
As a follow-up to my comment below, I just realized that a reading of any kind wouldn't work for you.  You ask why?  Firstly, it wouldn't work because I forgot you are a self-proclaimed athiest.  Prayer and the belief of a God or higher being is paramount in receiving an accurate reading.  Your biggotry, hatred and skepticism towards people that believe in anything that differs from your opinions/beliefs would also make it impossible for anyone, even God himself, to prove to you otherwise.
Seems the commenter needed to provide an excuse for why a psychic reading of me wouldn't work. You know, just in case I actually accepted that challenge.

Hey now, thats a damn good idea. I think it would be brilliant investigation, to have a reading done, followed up with your experience. I've heard  LaToya Jackson has a gifted reader.....just wait up for the informercial and you'll catch the phone number.
I challenge you, to give up 10 bucks phone time in the name of a journal entry, entitled "My phone reading and results"
All in good spirit of course :o)

I came over here from the AOL Carnival link. After visiting the journal boards last year I decided to take my blog to another server after I witnessed your constant attacks of women, homosexuals, Christians, and anything that has to do with any form spirituality.

You appear to have a hatred toward women, overwhelmingly homo-phobic, and you seem to have a dreadful fear of the afterlife. Thus your constant pathetic rambling about it. Hence this would lead me to believe your in your  late 30's - early 40's, insecure about your intelligence and lack of education, obese (Last time I was here you just had your little chubby eye showing), balding, short, and insecure in your sexuality.

A true challenge for you would be to come face to face with your inner being.

A side note on the AOL Carnival thing. If you want to run an AOL sideshow, that's your own business, but for AOL to openly promote it every few weeks is another. That isn't what I pay my fees for. I don't pay my fees for AOL's premier instigator and message board drama queen (As I have noticed you seem to be in the thick of all things going on there for the negative) to be promoted. I think I will start shopping for a new server all around.

Yow.  It's amazing what people read into things, isn't it?  If you are an atheist and a skeptic (and blog about it), you must be evil personified.  As a Christian, I have never found you to be hateful, bigoted, or any of that other rot.  However, you certainly are a lightning rod for controversy!  Kind of puts my recent incident in perspective!

holy cow Paul.... who did you &*%$ off? I had no idea that you hated women and were a homophobe. As your friend, and a lesbian (and a woman for that matter, for those who are not UP on their homosexual jargon), I have always found you to be an intelligent and decent person... and you can actually spell REAL words. My oh my.

Oh, and the Firefly series is tremendous good fun, just as you recommended.
Later tater.

Gee Paul.... Who's Wheaties did you p*$$ in <LOL> They are coming out of the wood work. I always find it interesting that the same people who will go on and on about being able to believe the way they want are sometimes some of the first to go boinkers if you DO have different beliefs. Maybe we need a banner at the top to remind people "Your Journal, You Thoughts" <sigh>.

Oh my...  Paul, you are so not any of those things.  Seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of life.  Hopefully, if ignored, he/she/it will crawl back under whatever rock it crawled out from.  Hope AOL tos's it.

Be well,
Dawn

there are those who believe, and those who don't. *Shrugs*...Isn't it a little silly for one to try and push ones feelings on another? Thats like when the Jehovahs come to my door and insist on handing me pamphlets on 'their word' and listen to their speech. I won't be mean to them, but in all honesty, groups of folks whose....I think they are called 'kingdom halls' or something...have absolutely no windows. It's like they are doing something sadistic in there they want no one to see. Or don't believe in an overabundunce of daylight.

My mother thinks ghosts, ghoulies and things that go bump in the night are all just figments of ones imagination, and that psychics are just those that have a dire need for attention. Needless to say, mumsie doesn't get any of my ghost photos and thoughts brought to her face, and in turn, she doesn't hark to me about the Bible or going to church more often, because I feel organized religion is rather silly. God exists, and I realize that, but is it all that necessary for me to go to church, just so folks who are, as catholiscism proclaims, 'my family' , can talk badly of me because I don't go every sunday?? I can't worship him in my own way in the privacy in my own home? Too many people now use religion as a weapon, to judge people, instead of as a way to bring folks together.

I should start my own following. Ha ha....maybe not.

Cheers!

damn, that was a long comment.
